Quark is an electrical measurement probe and debugging tool powered by open-source software written in the Arduino environment. Currently featured on the crowdfunding site Crowd Supply, the Quark multitool measures parameters like voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, and inductance. It also has the ability to send data wirelessly over Bluetooth to custom iOS and Android apps where it can be displayed and analyzed.

The handheld device itself is a signal probe, to which a second probe can be connected. It is 12 cm long and about 2 cm in diameter and furnishes a color IPS display with a resolution of 240×135 pixels. Device controls are touch-sensitive. To switch modes, simply slide your finger up or down the body.

Quark measures voltage from 0 to 26 V, current from 0 to 3.2 A, resistance from 0 to 2 MΩ, capacitance from 2 pF to 1000 µF, and inductance up to 1 H. Its built-in oscilloscope has a sampling rate of 400 kHz. Quark also includes a UART logger, UART plotter, and signal generator. The supplied 700-mA battery provides up to 5 hours of uninterrupted operation.
Quark comes fully assembled and includes a probe with a USB Type-C connector and hard-sided carrying case. The tool costs $150. Orders placed now will ship on February 28, 2022.
